According to the leader of Kiev, Volodymyr Zelensky, in the last days of December and the beginning of January, Russia launched more than 500 missiles and drones at Ukraine, and 70 percent of them were rejected by the Ukrainian defense forces. The Ukrainian president stated after the meeting with his Lithuanian counterpart Gitanas Nausedac that they need the determination of the partners, because the Russian president will not stop until he destroys Ukraine and then he will move on to other countries.

"Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and the Republic of Moldova could be next. And this is already a fact, if we do not resist. Recently, I heard that they started talking about Finland, about the independence of Uzbekistan and so on," said Volodymyr Zelensky.

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that this year will be decisive in many ways for Ukraine, but also for all partners in the free world. Therefore, in 2024, decisions must be made in favor of freedom and a just peace for every nation, reads the statement issued by the Ukrainian presidency. Also today it was announced that Ukraine and Lithuania have agreed on the joint production of anti-drone weapons, the Ukrainian media writes. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda at today's meeting with his counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that his country will also offer Ukraine a long-term support package worth 200 million euros.

According to Gitanas Nauseda, the agreements signed today between representatives of the Ukrainian and Lithuanian defense industries are another example of close military cooperation between the two countries. He also stressed the need to ensure continuity of long-term support for Ukraine from allies and partners. He also said that the European defense industry as a whole should be strengthened, accelerated and adequately respond to the difficult security situation. We remind you that today the leader from Kiev started a tour of the Baltic States, the first visit was to Lithuania, and in the following days he will go to Latvia and Estonia.

Volodymyr Zelenski announced that security issues, integration into the European Union and NATO, cooperation in the field of air defense and drones, but also the further coordination of European support will be discussed.
