Ukraine: Over 2,000 children have suffered directly as a result of the hostilities
Since the beginning of the Russian Federation's invasion of Ukraine, over 2,000 Ukrainian children have suffered directly as a result of the hostilities, the Kyiv Prosecutor General's Office reports.
According to investigators, 561 children were killed and another 1,456 were injured.
That balance sheet is not definitive, as work is still being done to establish data in places where fighting is ongoing, in temporarily occupied territories and in those already liberated from the occupation of Russian troops.
The most children affected by the war were registered in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Kyiv and Zaporizhia regions, reports Korespondent.net.
